Origin and Growth of Students' Union Organization in Arunachal Pradesh:
A. Initial or 1st Phase of Students' Union Organization, 1947 onwards:
During North-East Frontier Tract ( The Present Arunachal Pradesh ) a few enlightened Adi and Mising Students formed Students' Union Called Abor-Miri Students' Union, with its headquarter at Pasighat. Theywere mostly te students of Sadiya Govt. High English School. Later on the Abor-Miri Students' Union had been renamed as Adi-Mising Students' Union of North East Frontier Tract, 1947. The Premier Students leaders as given below :- Daying Ering - The Founder President of Students' Organization in Arunachal Pradesh ( Then North-East Frontier Tract, 1947 ).
- Matin Dai - The Founder General Secretary of Students' Union Organization in runachal Pradesh (Then North-East Frontier Tract, 1947).
B. 2nd Phase of the Students' Union Organization, Named as All NEFA Students' Union, 1959:
In 1954, North-East Frontier Tract was renamed as North-East Frontier Agency (NEFA). Then the Students of Adi-Mising Students' Union formed and estabhlished a State wide Students' Union as NEFA Students' Union, Headquarter at Pasighat.
- Talom Rukbo - First President of the NEFA Students' Union, 1959-67.
- Bakin Partin - First Genral Secretary of NEFA Students' Union, 1959-67.
C. 3rd Phase of the Students' Union Organization:
After creation of the Union Territory of Arunachal Pradesh on 20th January 1972, from North-East Frontier Agency (NEFA), the name of NEFA Students' Union had been renamed as All Arunachal Pradesh Students's Union (AAPSU) in 1972.
- Talom Gao - First President of AAPSU, 1972-74.
- Eken Riba - First General Secretary of AAPSU, 1972-74.
Members of the new Students' Union of AAPSU:
The 8th Conference of the AAPSU held at the Doying Gumin Hall in Pasighat from 28th May to 1st July, 1972. Shri Kabang Borang, member of the Pradesh Council was the Chief Guest.

AAPSU Women Wing :
For the first time , the AAPSU for organization convenience created women wing also in 1994.
